Fl. deep golden yellow; perianth segments very broadly ovate, rounded at apex or somewhat truncate, not obviously mucronate, the color paling at base, spreading, slightly concave, sometimes with midrib raised, overlapping half; inner segments a little inflexed, slightly creased; cup is cylindrical, lightly ribbed, with mouth straight and wavy, rim crenate.

Named after gold believed to be in the foothills of the local Sperrin Mountains.
