Fl. rounded, 98 mm wide; perianth segments very broadly ovate in outline, rounded at apex, prominently mucronate, white, reflexed, concave in upper half, smooth and of membranaceous substance, overlapping half; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, abruptly shouldered at base, less noticeably mucronate, more nearly spreading, with margins wavy; corona cup-shaped, widely expanded, smooth, deep red, paling to soft pinkish red at base, with rim shallowly notched and crenate.
