Fl. 80-85 mm diameter; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, sometimes truncate, slight white mucro, opening orange, becoming paler orange at maturity, spreading or a little reflexed, concave or margins inward rolling, smooth, sometimes notched, overlapping half; inner segments more narrowly ovate, margins wavy; cup shallow bowl-shaped, maturing from darker tone to lighter orange-red, mouth straight, wavy, rim serrate. Resembles ‘Ambergate.

Classified as a Division 2 until 1972 when it was then reclassified as a Division 3.
