Malcolm WheelerFl. 39 mm wide; perianth segments 17 mm long, oblong, very broad, squarish at apex, slightly truncate, prominently mucronate, opening creamy white, becoming clearer white, spreading, plane to a little concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, blunt at apex, less prominently mucronate; corona 4 mm long, bowl-shaped, lightly ribbed, orange, mouth expanded, even, with rim entire.
Named because when it first flowered, tantalising was the thoughts of the Malroze team.
