Perianth segments ovate or oblong, prominently mucronate, more or less spathulate, opening pale sulfur white, becoming pure white, spreading or slightly inflexed, with midrib showing, sometimes twisted, with margins wavy, separated at base, sometimes overlapping at mid-point; corona deep cup-shaped, bright reddish orange, with yellow at base, mouth straight or slightly flared, a little frilled, rim crenate.

According to The Book of the Daffodil (1903) Vol. XVI Handbooks of Practical Gardening, by Rev. S.E. Bourne, it states: “April 10, 1894. F.C.C. Incomp. A flower of exquisite beauty, said to be a chance seedling found in an orchard at Lulworth. Perianth segments broad, ample and slightly drooping; at first very pale sulphur, but afterwards pure white; cup large, bell-shaped, and of a peculiarly vivid red.
