Fl. forming a double triangle, 97 mm wide; perianth segments very broadly ovate, blunt or acute, prominently mucronate, bright yellow, spreading, plane, with broad midrib showing, overlapping half; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, angled at shoulder, only very slightly mucronate, a little inflexed, concave and with margins wavy or incurled; corona cup-shaped, lightly ribbed, bright orange, paling towards base, mouth straight, loosely frilled.

According to The American Horticultural Society’s 1937 issue of the The American Daffodil Year Book, Guy L. Wilson’s article “Some Modern Daffodils for Garden Decoration” states: “One of the best of all (yellows with orange or red cups) is Killigrew, another of Mr. Williams’ most beautiful flowers. Perfect in form, balance, and quality, a large flower with soft yellow perianth and rich deep tangerine frilled cup, which retains its color better than many; it is very tall and of quite exceptional vigor and rapid increase; it gained an Award of Merit at the Wisely Trials.”
