Fl. 90-100 mm; perianth and other petaloid segments very broadly ovate, truncate, slightly mucronate, brilliant greenish yellow, regular, overlapping half; outer whorl spreading, with margins incurling; inner whorl shorter, inflexed, margins more strongly incurling; a single segment at center; corona segments less than half as long as petaloid segments, interspersed among them and clustered at center, red, paling to vivid orange at base, inflexed, heavily frilled.
Received the Royal Horticultural Society(RHS) Award of Garden Merit(AGM) in 2005 and the award was rescinded by the RHS in 2012.
