Fls 1-3 per stem, 25 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, sometimes squarish at apex, soft lemon yellow, touched white at base and along midrib to mucro, spreading, plane or with margins incurling, overlapping a quarter; inner segments with margins wavy; corona short funnel-shaped, loosely ribbed, opening yellow, becoming white, with mouth straight and frilled. Resembles a paler and slightly later-flowered ‘Dickcissel’ and a darker and more rounded ‘Pipit’.
