Fl. 100mm wide; perianth segments 40mm long, broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate, yellow, spreading, plane, with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments slightly narrower, shouldered at base; corona 19mm long, cup-shaped, ribbed, red, with yellow at base, mouth straight and wavy, with rim crenate.  Strongly scented.
