Gold Convention
Fl. forming a double triangle, 110 mm wide, deep golden yellow, facing up; perianth segments oblong, very broad, mucronate, shouldered at base, spreading, with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, with midrib showing, overlapping; inner segments narrower, more nearly acute; corona funnel-shaped, smooth, mouth ribbed and flared, frilled, with rim rolled and notched. Sweetly scented. Resembles a more deeply colored ‘Gold Convention’ with the corona rim rolled.
Named because of its intense golden color.
