Fl. forming a double triangle; perianth segments broadly ovate in outline, blunt or sometimes truncate, deep golden yellow, with very slight white mucro, spreading, concave, smooth, sometimes creased at midrib, overlapping half; the inner segments more narrowly ovate; corona bowl-shaped, ribbed, deep orange-red, mouth straight, with six shallow lobes each obscurely bi-lobed.
