The year 1939 at the end of this period, marked the beginning of World War II, a time during which fewer new daffodil cultivars were either created or made available, especially in Europe.

The ADS believes this class will interest a segment of exhibitors and may encourage bulb growers to keep these pre-war era cultivars available.

Fl. forming a double triangle, 114 mm wide, facing slightly downwards; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, fairly prominently mucronate, greenish white, spreading, with margins a little wavy, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower and more nearly acute, a little inflexed, with margins more strongly wavy; corona cylindrical, primrose yellow, with mouth expanded, rim rolled and irregularly notched.
