Fl. forming a double triangle; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base; corona cylindrical, smooth, mouth even, with rim flanged and crenate.
Named for a Spud’s Normanby friend, Siggy Bauer . Many years earlier, Siggy was a top NZ and international ultra distance runner. He still holds the record for running the length of the North Island.
