Fls 3-5 per stem, rounded, 50 mm wide; perianth segments very broadly ovate in outline, blunt or rounded at apex, prominently mucronate, brilliant yellow, spreading, concave, smooth or somewhat creased, overlapping half; the inner segments less prominently mucronate, somewhat inflexed, more generally creased, with margins incurled; corona bowl-shaped, expanded, lightly ribbed, light orange, mouth loosely frilled, sometimes split and overlapping, with rim entire. Sunproof. Strongly scented. Resembles a later-flowered and paler-colored ‘Hugh Town’. Date of first flowering was circa 1967.
