Origin of Name

Named after the patrol saint of Wales. Saint David’s Day falls on March 1st in remembrance of his death on that day in 589 A.D.. Today, Welsh people wear in their lapel either a daffodil (a generic Welsh symbol) or a leek (Saint David’s personal symbol). Both of these have similar names in Welsh – cenin for leek and cenin Bedr for daffodil (which translates to “Peter’s leek”).

There are no photos of "Saint David" in Daffseek.
