Fl. 110mm diameter; double triangle; perianth segments 32mm long, ovate, spreading, smooth; 20mm long, bowl-shaped, smooth corona, with rim flanged and dentate.

Origin of Name

This name is Dutch for the words “red hat” and comes from the Ramsay’s recollection of meeting the Red Hat ladies in St. Louis at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (MOBOT), in the company of a famous Dutchman.
