The Brodie of BrodieFl. large; perianth segments very broadly ovate, deeply truncate and slightly mucronate, creamy white, spreading or a little reflexed, with margins sometimes incurling, overlapping half; the inner segments with margins wavy; corona shallow bowl-shaped, closely ribbed, reddish orange, paling to base, with mouth widely expanded and tightly frilled.
A description according to the Calvert Catalog dated 1935: “A beautiful Barrii, white perianth, broad frilled rich reddish orange cup.”
