Fl. soft lemon yellow; perianth segments narrow, sometimes inflexed and twisted; corona narrow, ribbed, mouth widely flared, rim deeply notched and rolled.

Description from Royal Horticultural Society, Volume XXXIII (1908), when awarded the Award of Merit, “A handsome ‘Ajax’ Daffodil with frilled trumpet and elegant perianth segments, all bright golden yellow.”
