Cambridge, New Zealand; Levin
Wilfred HallFls 1-3 per stem; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, spreading, plane or with margins incurling, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower; corona funnel-shaped, angled, mouth straight, lightly ribbed and wavy, with rim minutely crenate. Sibling to ‘Elfina’ and ‘Queue Jumper’.
The name ‘Quedell’ came from ‘Qu’ from the seed parent and the ‘dell’ from the pollen parent. The hybridizer felt that the name ‘Quedell’ sounded better than ‘Quidell’.
