Fls 1–2 per stem, 41mm wide, facing upwards; perianth segments 18mm long, lanceolate, acute, spreading, twisted, smooth and of heavy substance, separated; corona 15mm long, cup-shaped, angled, mouth slightly constricted, wavy and broadly ribbed, with rim entire. Dwarf. Very early. Defining characteristic of group is regularly twisted perianth segments.
