Fl. forming a double triangle, 113 mm wide; perianth segments ovate, blunt, yellow, spreading, concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; the inner segments narrower; corona funnel-shaped, ribbed, orange, with yellow at base, mouth wavy, with rim dentate.

Part of the Miller’s “Pirongia Series”. Pirongia is the name of the nearest town where the Millers live. It is also the name of a nearby mountain.
