Fl. 107mm wide; perianth segments 45mm long, ovate, blunt, spreading, plane or with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower; corona 15mm long, cup-shaped, ribbed, mouth straight and frilled, with rim dentate.

Part of the Miller’s “Pirongia Series”. Pirongia is the name of the nearest town where the Millers live. It is also the name of a nearby mountain.
