Fl. 30-35 mm wide, brilliant greenish yellow; perianth segments ovate or narrowly ovate, acute; corona funnel-shaped, mouth expanded, wavy.

According to a letter from Brian Mulligan, dated 1982, he writes, “Yes, I was the raiser of ‘Picarillo’, at the time when I was Assistant to the Director of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Garden, Wisley, Surrey, England, in the 1930s. 

Origin of Name

It was named by Alec Gray, the daffodil grower in Cornwall, England, and the name published in his book, Miniature Daffodils, in 1955.  N. watieri was the seed parent.”
