Fl. forming a double triangle, 80 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, rounded at apex, spreading, plane, with margins incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; corona disc-shaped, ribbed, deep golden yellow, paler at base, with a broad band of strong reddish orange at rim, the mouth lobed, with rim crenate. Slightly scented

Origin of Name

Named by Sir Frank Harrison to honor the 85th birthday of his friend in the United States, Peggy Macneale of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sir Frank said it was his way of saying “thank you” to both his friend, Peggy and the American Daffodil Society.
