Fl. rounded, 94 mm wide, facing up; perianth and other petaloid segments very broadly ovate, truncate, shouldered at base, with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, with midrib showing, overlapping; corona segments golden yellow, with rim crenate. Sweetly scented.

Origin of Name

Named for the hospital in Niles where the hybridizer was born. It is also the Indian name for the river crossing adjacent to the hospital.
