Comments

Perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, prominently mucronate, pure white, spreading, smooth, with midrib showing, margins sometimes incurling, overlapping half; the inner segments slightly more narrowly ovate, shouldered at base, somewhat twisted; corona opening very pale yellow, becoming creamy white, with mouth ribbed and expanded, rim rolled and regularly crenate.

According to The American Horticultural Society’s 1937 issue of the The American Daffodil Year Book, Guy L. Wilson’s article “Some Modern Daffodils for Garden Decoration” states: “Niphetos, another of Mr. Williams’ splendid originations, still on the expensive side, is a superb show flower of faultless symmetry, quality and substance, and will be an equally first class border pant, because it is vigorous, free of bloom and increase, and its perfect flowers are well upheld on very sturdy stems.”
