Fl. 104mm wide; perianth segments 44mm long, broadly ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, greenish white 155C, spreading, concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, scarcely mucronate; corona 20mm long, bowl-shaped, angled, brilliant greenish yellow 4A, mouth lobed and finely ribbed, with lobes overlapping in places, with rim crenate.

Origin of Name

Named for the school in Hamilton, North Island New Zealand. Bred and named by pupils of Newstead School.
