The perianth segments are a strong orange and very broad giving the flower a rounded form. The shallow bowl shaped corona is red blending well with the periath to give the flower and overall glowing color.

Fl. rounded, 108mm wide; perianth segments 47mm long, very broadly ovate, truncate, strong orange, with slight white mucro, spreading, plane or with margins slightly incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments a little narrower; corona 13mm long, disc-shaped, orange-red, mouth ribbed and frilled.
