Fl. 60mm wide; perianth segments 25mm long, ovate, blunt, reflexed, plane, with margins incurved or a little wavy, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower; corona 3mm long, disc-shaped, smooth, mouth straight, narrowly ribbed and a little wavy, with rim crenate.

Origin of Name

Part of the old Miami Trail that ran from the Great Lakes to the Gulf.  The Indian trail that wound through Ohio and the Miami territory in the late 1700s came to be known as the Miami Trace.
