Fl. rounded, 103 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, blunt, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; corona funnel-shaped, smooth, mouth flared and even, with rim rolled and crenate.

Origin of Name

Named for a little place in Taranaki New Zealand, near the small rural school where Graeme Miller was the principal at Huiroa from 1979 to 1981.
