Fl. star-shaped, 100 mm wide; perianth segments ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, golden yellow, spreading, overlapping one-third; the inner segments a little inflexed; corona short cylinder-shaped, orange-red with mouth a little expanded and rim crenate. Won the Mitsch trophy, at Indianapolis in 1991.
