Origin of Name

In the hybridizer’s words: “My chosen name was Lemon Sherbet but that name was not allowed. The name that was my second choice brings back memories from my childhood when haymaking was in progress on an uncle’s farm. At tea breaks my aunty’s home made drink was lemon and barley water which I developed a distinct liking for. The adults of course drank mainly tea. The name was really appropriate considering the colouring of the flowers.”
