Fl. large; perianth segments ovate, yellow, spreading, plane, only slightly overlapping; corona short funnel-shaped, ribbed, deep yellow, heavily stained bright scarlet-orange at rim, mouth straight, wavy, indistinctly lobed.
This has also been used as a Group name. Gardeners’ Magazine of Botany 3:169 (1851).
