Comments

Perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, spreading in lower half, reflexed towards apex, with margins wavy, overlapping one-third; the inner segments more strongly reflexed; corona cylindrical, 6-angled, ivory white, with mouth widely expanded, rim deeply notched and crenate.

According to The American Horticultural Society’s 1937 issue of the The American Daffodil Year Book, Guy L. Wilson’s article “Some Modern Daffodils for Garden Decoration” states: “The special value of ‘Kenbane’, a flower of my own raising, lies in its lateness. It comes when nearly all other trumpets are over. It is a very large bold flower of great substance, holding its head well up on a very strong stout stem, and having dark blue-green upright foliage: it is a very vigorous plant, making a fine display when others are past their best.”
