Fl. forming a double triangle, 117 mm wide; perianth segments ovate, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; corona funnel-shaped, smooth, yellow, with a deeper tone at mouth, occasionally with orange at rim, mouth flared, wavy, with rim crenate.

Named for the Maori word ‘wavy cup’.
