Origin of Name

This is Jean Estelle. It is named after Faith’s mother. Several years ago, when Faith’s mother was in hospital, and we were attending the Howick Show, we took her a bunch of daffodils, one of which was Jean Estelle, at that stage, still under number. She couldn’t take her eyes off it and kept on saying, “Oh, I do like that one!” I eventually said, How about we name it after you and call it, ‘Jean Estelle'” She replied, “That would be lovely, dear.” And so, Jean Estelle it became. It was released last year and there are a few bulbs of it already in the US. It is not in this year’s price list but will be available again next year.
