Origin of Name

Fl. forming a double triangle, 74mm wide; perianth segments 30mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, vivid yellow 14B, with slight, pale mucro, spreading, plane, with margins incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base; corona 30mm long, funnel-shaped, angled, strong orange 25A, ribbed and wavy to lightly frilled, with rim notched and narrowly flanged. Slightly scented.
