WilsonFl. 50 mm wide, rounded; outer perianth segments very broad in outline, rounded at apex, slightly mucronate, reflexed, plane, smooth, with midrib showing, membranaceous, deeply overlapping; inner segments narrower, spathulate, or with margins recurved, not noticeably mucronate, somewhat concave; corona disc-shaped, ribbed, brilliant greenish yellow, with green at base and a narrow band of orange-red at rim, even in lower half with rim minutely dentate. Sweetly scented.
Named for local Indian tribe in Northern California.
