Comments

Fl. 115 mm wide; perianth segments brilliant yellow, overlapping half; corona very slightly darker in tone.

According to The American Horticultural Society’s 1937 issue of the The American Daffodil Year Book, Guy L. Wilson’s article “Some Modern Daffodils for Garden Decoration” states: “His Excellency, a flower of my own raising, has always struck me as a fine garden plant on account of the slightly upward post of its very large well formed flowers, which thus be seen full face without stooping to turn up their heads; though not very tall, the strong stiff stems hold the flowers above the stout foliage, so that they are show off to full advantages: it is a good clear medium yellow.”
