Fl. star-shaped, 75mm wide, facing downwards; perianth segments 35mm long, ovate, blunt, mucronate, yellow, reflexed, plane, with margins incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping one-third; the inner segments narrower; corona 34mm long, cylindrical, smooth, orange, darker in tone towards rim, mouth a little expanded, broadly ribbed, wavy and lobed, with rim dentate and narrowly flanged.
