Fl. 80 mm wide; perianth segments 30mm long, broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate, spreading, plane or with margins slightly incurved, with midrib slightly showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, acute at apex, less prominently mucronate, shouldered at base; corona 30mm long, funnel-shaped, mouth flared and wavy, with rim notched.

Origin of Name

Named in honor of Mr. Higgins’ father. The hybridizer was one of the younger in a large family of eleven with older nieces and nephews. All called his father Grandpa. Also, his father went by the name of W.A., a tag given him when in the Army from WWI, by those who knew him. Hence the daffodil name of Grandpa W.A..
