Comments

Fl. rounded, 110 mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, regularly superimposed, vivid yellow, with whitish mucro, waxy texture, overlapping 1/3; outer whorls broadly ovate, spreading, plane; inner whorls successively slightly narrower, slightly shorter, more strongly inflexed, margins incurved or wavy; the center whorl contorted and sharply inflexed; cup segments shorter than petaloid segments and interspersed among them, broad, slightly darker in tone, with rim crenate. Closely resembles a less readily forced ‘Planet’.

Was a major cut-flower variety, especially in Cornwall.
