Fl. forming a double triangle, 114 mm wide; perianth segments ovate, deep yellow, smooth or sometimes slightly ribbed, deeply overlapping; corona bowl-shaped, regularly ribbed, deep reddish orange, lobed and dentate.

Origin of Name

Named because when it first opens it has a pronounced red flush in its perianth segments.
