Fl. snow white; perianth and other petaloid segments in about five whorls, regularly superimposed and loosely arranged, broadly ovate, concave, overlapping half; the outer whorl sometimes prominently mucronate, spreading; the inner whorls successively a little shorter and more strongly inflexed, with margins wavy or incurled or folded inwards from the midrib; the center whorl short, very strongly inflexed, contorted. Scented.
