Fl. forming a double triangle, 102mm wide; perianth segments 41mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate, rich yellow, spreading, concave, with margins incurling, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower and a little inflexed; corona 32mm long, funnel-shaped, smooth, soft orange, mouth flared and wavy, with rim dentate. Mid-season to late. Sunproof.

Named to commemorate Derek Tangye’s book Gull on the Roof, which was published 50 years ago. Registered on behalf of the Friends of Minack Society.
