Fl. 115 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, blunt or somewhat truncate, opening reddish orange, paling to copper orange, with prominent white mucro, spreading, plane, with margins more or less deeply incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base, with margins a little wavy; corona disc-shaped, closely ribbed, deep red, frilled.
