Comments

Fl. rounded, 110mm wide; perianth segments 46mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate, spreading, plane or with margins slightly incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; corona 42mm long, cylindrical, smooth, mouth flared and frilled, with rim crenate. Sunproof. The color of the corona may vary, sometimes remaining deep yellow, rather than maturing to orange.

Origin of Name

Named for the color, which changes and so proves a conundrum to register.
