Fl. star-shaped, 35mm wide, lime-yellow; perianth segments 12mm long, lanceolate in outline, acute at apex, spreading, plane, smooth and of membranaceous substance, separated; corona 15mm long, bowl-shaped, ribbed, mouth widely expanded, a little wavy, with rim crenate. Blooms very early (mid-January onwards in Northern Hemisphere).

N. bulbocodium seed parent is from Oukaïmeden, Morocco.
