Fl. rounded, 98mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in more than one whorl; the outer whorl very broadly ovate, blunt, yellow, with slight white mucro, spreading, concave, with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner whorls narrower, successively shorter and more inflexed towards the centre, margins wavy; corona segments interspersed among the inner perianth segments, white, margins wavy to lightly frilled, with rim crenate.
