A description according to the 1947 issue of the Max Schling Seedsmen catalog: “In our opinion one of the prettiest pure white daffodils. The entire flower is glistening white, the perianth is star-shaped and the trumpet is rather narrow, nicely frilled at the rim. The foliage is greenish-blue. An extraordinary flower for cutting and for corsages but equally fine for garden decoration. A large bowl of ‘China Clay’, interspersed with flowers of ‘Mrs. R.O. Backhouse’, the pink daffodil, is a sight never to be forgotten.”
